Position Description:

This role is a member of the US Strategy Realization Team (SRT), which is a function fully dedicated to developing, implementing and managing the execution and installation of the capabilities to enable the Strategy 2020 realization in the US Market. The SRT work is monitored by the US Leadership Team on an ongoing basis.

A Senior Specialist on the US Strategy Realization Team is an individual who is part of a team working toward delivering on identified strategy realization projects for the US Market. The role will be accountable for multiple aspects of an identified project working with a wide range of stakeholders from both the US Market and our Global Centers of Excellence to ensure strategy realization.

The Senior Specialist, Strategy Realization role will have primary responsibility for:

  • Content Management Capabilities

  • Assess new content management capabilities in an agile team environment to identify new industry trends/best practices, establish business value and help secure appropriate sponsorship

  • Lead /support process improvement/optimization efforts related to digital content management capabilities in the promotional space (i.e. email, banners, mobile alerts, web, video), including process and technology changes

  • Lead /support pilot initiatives to implement new capabilities and to operationalize them for re-use in the organization across brands or channels

  • Define and coordinate execution for new capabilities with other members of the agile team and organization relevant to the work, such as IT, Digital Execution, Digital Publishers, Marketing/Promotion teams and creative agencies as appropriate

  • Continuously assess efficiency and effectiveness of content management processes

  • Maintain procedures for creating and updating documentation of processes and capabilities

  • Create documentation process and procedures; educate and evangelize documentation frameworks and best practices to ensure end user needs are met

  • Work collaboratively with agile content team to ensure process and documentation are accurate, current and user friendly

  • Additional Activities:

  • Support the translation of strategic vision into long term roadmaps and project plans

  • Build strong, open and collaborative working relationships among leadership, peers, and support teams within and outside the organization

  • Collaborate with innovation teams on transformational projects which build new capabilities or improve existing capabilities as required to realize the intent of the strategy

Position Qualifications:

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • BA/BS Degree

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a bio, pharmaceutical or other health care related field

  • Minimum of three (3) years of project management experience and/or promotion/marketing operations

  • Ability to work with various stakeholders to meet a common goal

  • Confidence to successfully navigate through ambiguity

  • Strong understanding of compliance-related concepts and application in all job-related functions

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Subject matter expertise in content management capabilities

  • Strong understanding of the promotional space and medical/legal review process

  • Development and management of standards and guidance documentation

  • Strong understanding of digital channels

  • Project management experience, having to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, plan and execute

  • Business acumen, problem solving, understanding of marketing process

  • Change Management Skills – ability to gain sponsorship and work as a change agent to effectively drive change required

  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to negotiate and influence key stakeholders

  • Working with outside service providers

  • Influence without authority
