The Learning Partner MRL L&D Operations supports and facilitates learning and development activities within MRL, and influences the design and execution of the Annual Learning Plan. The role supports the MRL Learning Leader and Learning Directors in the execution of the L&D strategy by executing the operational process for the MRL L&D team, specifically managing weekly LT meetings and agenda, and ensuring accurate monthly forecasts and financials for the MRL L&D team. Success in this role depends on the ability to prioritize, plan (strategic and tactical), manage, execute multiple projects supporting L&D operations,collaborate across MRL L&D, Divisional Operations Leads, and Learning Support Services, and partner and collaboration across GL&D to align and leverage approaches and solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage flow of work coming into the MRL L&D Portfolio against Global and Divisional Criteria to manage programs above the line, at risk and below the line by leading weekly LT meetings

  • Lead the annual profit planning and annual learning planning processes

  • Identify Portfolio Timelines running at risk to delivery

  • Ensure accurate monthly forecasts, track and report budget EA’s and Actuals

  • Partner with finance to effectively develop, manage, and monitor budgets; and analyze variances on an on-going basis

  • Forecast risk with monthly reporting to LT to support/engage/mitigate risk, identify risk of flow of work to LSS

  • Project manage prioritized, complex work in support of MRL wide initiatives

  • Support the Division Learning Leader and Leadership Team by establishing agendas for Full Team meetings, Operations meetings, including coordinating / facilitating meetings

  • Initiate and track all follow-up activities emerging from full team and Operations meetings

  • Facilitate the stage gate process to ensure efficient work flow

  • Represent MRL perspective in global operational initiatives to ensure global and divisional applicability and effectiveness

  • Understand feedback provided by Learning Support Services (LSS) on the overall success of the learning solutions; interpret and discuss feedback with MRL L&D LT, and monitor impact and cost-effectiveness of learning solutions; suggest improvements to further enhance learning program effectiveness and sustainability

  • Manage interim/unplanned Operational activities and requests; make appropriate recommendations

  • Identify, enable and a model continuous operational excellence throughout MRL L&D through regular needs analysis , solution recommendations that leverage innovative learning technology and integrating regular stakeholder feedback.

Competencies:

  • Financial Acumen: Experience managing all aspects of a departmental budget including training tuition, T&E, and P&B

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree

  • Preferred: Master’s degree

Experience:

  • Required: Minimum of 5 years of related experience, Preferred: Experience in the areas of learning, talent, HR, Operations, or R&D
