The position reports jointly to the Executive Director – Oncology Business Unit. The Senior Administrative Assistant works with both Executive Director and their commercial management teams to create an efficient, organized workplace, and to provide general support to the business.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Coordinates and executes communication with various stakeholders. Supports the directors and product managers in the execution of strategies and tactics.
Manages the supplier payment process, including purchase orders, purchase requisition reconciliation, invoice processing and follow-up of related issues.
Manages Corporate credit cards (p-Card and meeting card) and processes related expense reports.
Maintains the Executive Directors’ calendars and daily schedule, organizes meetings and makes travel arrangements.
Interacts with senior level individuals both within and outside of the Company, locally and globally.
Assembles and analyzes confidential information, prepares reports/ presentations, agendas and correspondence of varying degrees of complexity.
Provides support to the Fertility team (such as discount contracts, rebate cheques, etc.)
Provides general administrative support as needed.
The Senior Administrative Assistant is responsible to demonstrate full knowledge of compliance with all Merck policies, including, but not limited to, the Merck Code of Conduct, “Our Values and Standards”.
High School diploma, a DEC in Office Technology or its equivalent would be an asset
More than five years of relevant experience
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is essential
Knowledge of SAP/COMET and HtR is an asset
Language: Bilingual (French and English), written and oral
