Position Description:

We have an opportunity that has become available for the Global Brand Leader for Belsomra (suvorexant) – our first in class insomnia product. The key responsibilities are:

  • Drive in-line growth opportunities – working closely with the Product Development Team (PDT) and the Global Commercial Team (GCT) to identify new Lifecycle Management Opportunities to drive growth opportunities across those countries where we have launched

  • Launch into new markets – through close internal collaboration with the PDT and GCT, identify launch opportunities through:

  • Identification of new patient populations that could benefit from Belsomra

  • New Commercialization approaches

  • Innovation opportunities – identify opportunities to leverage digital platforms, devices and sleep data to drive commercial opportunities for the brand.

  • The role will have full responsibility for coordinating commercial launch planning in countries we are yet to launch in and as commercial lead on the Product Development Team, providing key insight into LCM opportunities for the brand.

  • Lead the Global Commercial Team with representation across key Global functions and the Key launch markets to co-create an integrated strategic approach that identifies pre-launch areas of focus and drives a successful product and/ or new indication launch.

  • Competitor planning will be an important component of the role, with new competitors entering the market over the next 3 years.

  • Responsibility for key commercial projects and budgetary trade-offs within components of the marketing mix (e.g., market research, promotion, etc)

  • Engage with Global Scientific Leaders in the field to enhance our understanding and inform the global strategy for the development of launch and Life Cycle Management plans for this product

  • Role reports to the Global Commercial Leader for Neuroscience and will have support from an Associate Director who will flex across the Neuroscience therapeutic area.

Position Qualifications:

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • Bachelor Degree

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of (6) years experience in Marketing and/or Marketing support functions

  • Strong analytical skills and a critical thinker – strong competency in being able to distill large volumes of data and information into meaningful insights

  • Successfully conducted digital campaigns and leveraging data analytics

  • Strong Cross-functional leadership and demonstrated capabilities in working across global functions

  • Strategic Planning and Project Management experience

  • Experience with a broad range of Pharmaceutical Marketing roles (Science point, Physician promotion point, Market Access)

  • Experience in launching a product and/or indication

  • Experience with Marketing strategies for New Products

  • Excellent leadership, collaboration and communication skills

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Experience working in Drug development and Manufacturing

  • Experience managing direct reports

  • Digital Marketing experience outside of Pharmaceuticals

  • Experience working in or closely with key global markets – understanding of different market archetypes and their associated market access structures
