Position Description:

The Enterprise Social Media Group Community Manager is an exciting opportunity to be part of an Enterprise team focused on embedding social capabilities across our company.

Our Community Manager will work across multiple areas of the business to proactively manage content and engagement on our social media channels in support of the company’s business and reputation.

The Enterprise Social Media Group Community Manager actively builds and manages promotional social media channels, their communities and ensures moderation of comments and responses.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for collaboratively collecting, optimizing, planning and posting promotional and topical content on @USMerckProducts, a US facing promotional channel on Twitter.

  • Responsible for providing expertise in US regulatory guidance as it relates to social media unbranded and branded content.

  • Responsible for building and developing new portfolio promotional page on Facebook in support of US product teams.

  • Developing and maintaining Enterprise Social Media content calendar/s for owned channels; proactively sharing across teams on a weekly basis

  • Day-to-day channel Adverse Events and Produce Quality Complaints monitoring for owned social accounts.

  • Responding for the health of the channel and appropriate audiences by engaging with the online community.

  • Enforcing commenting guidelines and other standard protocols

  • Attend and actively contribute to Community Manager Roundtables and cross functional US Social Media Working Group.

  • Providing strategic guidance regarding paid media support across business teams

  • Support the creation of engagement results in weekly and monthly metrics reports to inform ongoing strategy.

  • Support collaboration with Promotional Review Team (PRT) members in development and approval of content as needed

  • Assuring content is PRT-approved before posting, when needed

Manage and maintain content management tools such as Kapost and Social Studio

Position Qualifications:

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Experience creating content for social media, managing content

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment

  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and multiple projects simultaneously

  • Experience with sales, marketing or promotion development within pharmaceutical or other regulated industry

  • Experience working with external agencies
