We are seeking a highly motivated scientist with direct hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture and assay development to join Protein Sciences at MRL Boston. Responsibilities will include generation and characterization of stable cell lines, routine cell line maintenance, as well as developing and carrying out mammalian cell-based assays for protein reagent qualification and antibody discovery. The successful candidate would ideally have a strong background in bioassay development and experience with antibody mechanistic and effector function assays.

Education Minimum Requirement: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biomedical sciences or a related discipline

Required Experience and Skills:

Hands on experience with mammalian cell culture in a BSL-2 environment

Demonstrated knowledge of biostatistics and experimental design

Experienced user of data analysis software such as GraphPad Prism and MS Excel

Candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Experience and Skills:

Experience generating and characterizing stable cell lines

Experience developing and carrying out cell-based assays for antibody discovery

Experience conducting ELISA assays, western blotting and molecular biology techniques

Experience with automated liquid handling systems

Experience using flow cytometry and FACS

Knowledge of mammalian and microbial protein expression systems

Familiarity with protein analytical characterization assays and equipment
